Delish!

Super yummy mandarin liqueur from Unico Zelo. Made the yuzu citrus cocktail that I was wanting to recreate absolutely SING. Great buying experience from start to finish. Highly recommend these guys!

No tang

It’s a very sweet mandarin liqueur but it looks so fresh and juicy in the bottle I think I was expecting a bit of that citrusy pizazz we all love from our acidic fruity friends and there was just none of that in here unfortunately. A bit one dimensional on the palate in my opinion.

Thank you so much for your honest feedback and reaching out.

Mando is a liqueur hence the sweetness. It isn't inherently super zesty and in a cocktail with fresh citrus it's not really going to add anything in that department, more just add add a citrus twist to your sweetening agent.

I recommend using it in something like a spritz - there is a recipe on the back for you - or with something that balances bitter/dry with sweet as opposed to sour with sweet, you'll find it shows up a lot more and adds a dimension to the drink.

Instant regret

You know that moment when you taste something and you think ‘wow, this is so refreshing and delicious - I need to drink this all year round’ and then you instantly regret only buying 2 bottles of Unico Mando because you know it’s not going to last you until next season’s Mandarin supply and its already sold out? Asking for a friend.

This drink is really something special - a true mandarin taste with a hint of sweetness that’s versatile in cocktails, over ice with soda, or even on its own. Pairs wonderfully with a rosemary sprig or two.
