What I love about Johannes is his modest tasting notes, when the wine in the glass is far more than what the words may read. Blimey this is ripping Chardonnay! Yep, a bit of reduction here, but what truly great Chardonnay is without it. Grapefruit pith, lemon balm and frangipani are along for the ride. It's a glorious and vibrant palate here, riddled with lemon curd, gold apple and kiwi fruit. Lifted acid takes this into the next level. Drinks well out of it's weight class. Delicious.
