Welp, funnily enough, Johannes doesn't even know how to describe this wine. It's a bit of a mongrel of the 2021 vintage, a blend of parcels that didn't have a home. Now, with that blurb, you'd expect the wine to be a bit of a simple slurper. Nope - this is as powerful as it gets. Such an incredible brambly, earthy nose, great spice and florality. Dark cherry and black currant leap out the glass. It's refreshing with it's acidity, with wild strawberry and cranberry charging down the palate, with real lean and vibrant tannin. Whilst it's a shade lighter than we generally expect from Kopp, it's one of the most outwardly drinkable pinot's he makes, but it's certainly no slouch. Ready to dive into right now!

About Kopp
Johannes Kopp is the 2nd Generation of the Kopp Estate, taking over the family vineyard and winery at just 22 in 2012. Since then, he's grown the vineyard holdings to 32ha and has converted all the vineyards to be Demeter certified bio-dynamic. Johannes and his partner Alina focus their effort on crafting great Spatburgunder, alongside Chardonnay, Weissburgunder and of course Riesling. Through these varieties, they hope to showcase the incredible diversity of soil that occurs in their unique pocket of the world.
