Soil: Quartz Porphyry of the Rotliegend, medium to deep, gritty, loamy-sand basement soils, rock rich in silicon 40 year old vines

Winemaking

Handpicked and 80% destemmed (20% whole bunch) into inert open fermenter for 3 weeks on skins, pressed to 228L french oak for 24 months maturation. 40% New Oak.
