This is deep, deep stuff. So intensley dark fruited but still with that lifted, Sandalwood spice that is present in many of Johannes' wines. Dark chocolate and baked berries are strong in this one. So rich and decadent in flavour but so vibrant in structure! Youthful tannin and juicy red fruits with lifted acidity. This wine has such a long life in it. Boysenberries, almost a bubblegum freshness. It's a pretty incredible drinking experience - it's a wine that hits all corners of the olfactory. It's a compelling drink that's for damn sure

Johannes and his partner Alina focus their effort on crafting great Spatburgunder, alongside Chardonnay, Weissburgunder and of course Riesling. Through these varieties, they hope to showcase the incredible diversity of soil that occurs in their unique pocket of the world.
