2020 Fiano - Adelaide Hills.
Inspired by the Spanish Basque style of wine called Txakoli, we created, from our favourite high acid white variety - Fiano of course - our very own: Txak Atak. It's flinty, steely, white nectarine party wine that smells like a bouquet of jasmine, and the high-octane acid line leaves you gasping for the next sip. Supreme refreshment in an aperitif.
Variety: Fiano
Region: Adelaide Hills
Soil Type:
Alluvial Quartz-Shot Clay
Vintage: 2020
Alcohol: 10% ABV
Volume: 750ml
In the Basque region of Spain, there is a style of wine called Txakoli. Searing acidity, slightly sparkling, lower alcohol and served in tumblers with incredible theatre as an aperitif to go with Pintxos.
It encapsulates pretty much everything we love about wine. So after a few tumblers of Txak at our favourite local Pintxos bar Udaberri, we decided to create, from our favourite high acid white variety -
Fiano of course - our very own:
Txak Atak. It's flinty, steely, white nectarine party wine that smells like a bouquet of jasmine,
and the high-octane acid line leaves you gasping for the next sip. Supreme refreshment in an aperitif.
Here comes the Txak Atak.
