2019 Nero d'Avola - Polish Hill River, Clare Valley.
Luscious sour cherry trademark is here in full force, but a rugged herbaceous edge makes this alluring red wine quintessentially Clare. Best enjoyed with food cooked over coals. The vines on Polish Hill River are surrounded by enormous Eucalyptus. What makes that so special is that unmistakably Australian feeling of being in that Mallee scrub, with a big bonfire and that unmistakable Eucalypt scent in the air - it runs deep in this wine.
